Sidewalk Controlling Operation Carried Out in Mampang Prapatan

Sidewalk controlling operation was done in Mampang Prapatan Sub-district, South Jakarta, Tuesday (5/28), due to many reports from the locals who were disturbed by public minivan that stop illegally on the sidewalk. Besides, sidewalk is also used by street vendors and vehicles to park illegally.

Hopefully it can give deterrent effect thus there will be no misuse of sidewalk in the future

Mampang Prapatan Sub-district Head, Nasrudin Abu Bakar said, this operation is done to restore sidewalk function for pedestrian.

"After we received reports from the locals, we deploy 40 joint personnel from Satpol PP, South Jakarta Transportation Sub-department, Police, and TNI to control the sidewalk on Jalan Bangka, Jalan Kemang, and in front of Buncit Market," he explained.

West Jakarta, 8 Vehicles Netted in Illegal Parking Operation

In this operation, his side netted 2 public minivans and 1 motorcycle that parked illegally on the sidewalk.

"Hopefully it can give deterrent effect thus there will be no misuse of sidewalk in the future," he asserted.
